BING : a new potential

Microsoft's Bing is slowly turning into a real competitor to Google. Now Bing is Leads in Successful Canadian Searches

Yet it is curious to see where best results are obtained in the searches is in English and not French as in other languages is Google who still predominates in the polls.

Hitwise defines a successful search as one where the consumer leaves the search engine after performing a search. As Matt McGee of Search Engine Land points out Bing.com beat out the Canadian specific search engines of Google and Yahoo! as well as the international (dot com) domains.
That a search has many users is not the best ... the best thing is that users are satisfied with the results offered by the browser ... and that's what seems to have got Bing in his short life in Canada.

The last week, Bing launched Visual Search. A Microsoft study has concluded that users are able to detect what they are seeking a 20% faster with images with no text, and this has been the trigger for Visual Search option appears in Bing.
To access this type of search you need install Silverlight and go to www.bing.com/visualsearch.
Visual Search allows you to quickly scroll through the galleries or do a one-click refinement using the quick tabs on the left, which are specifically relevant to the type of results you are browsing through. There are some parts where it runs fine, as are the products, vehicles or books.
